The winner of the first "Yakima's Got Talent" competition is featured today in a full program of operatic, classical and musical theatre works, accompanied by Anne Schilperoort.
Monica recently received her Master of Music in Piano Performance at CWU. Now teaching in Wenatchee, she joins us for her Yakima debut with the music of Haydn, Ravel and Schumann.

Well known to Yakima audiences, the Finches already correlate and subsidize the "Second Sunday Series" of concerts at Englewood Christian Church. Today they will perform their own concert drawing from the vocal talents of Jane and Julie and the trombone expertise of Roger.

Hubert Laws: The powerhouse flute player with a straight decade of "Best Flutist" awards from Downbeat magazine (as well as this year's), bedazzled the jazz and classical world in the 1970's and since by issuing a series of albums in both disciplines with one masterful performance after another. He continues to be regarded as the best flute player in the world, spanning both classical & jazz.
