Tierney Sutton has recorded several CDs that made the #1 spot on jazz radio playlist and performed to critical praise throughout the world. Her Band has received a Grammy Nomination for Best Vocal Jazz Album, a JazzWeek Award for Vocalist of the Year, and consecutive nominations for Jazz Journalist Association awards.  Performing with Tierney on this rare evening will be legendary jazz artists Hubert Laws (flute) and Larry Koonse (guitar).

Hubert Laws is one of the few classical artists who has also mastered jazz, pop, and rhythm-and-blues, moving effortlessly from one repertory to another. He has appeared as a soloist with orchestras nationwide as well as internationally. He has also appeared at Jazz festivals throughout the world and was voted Downbeats 2009’s Fluitist of the year. His recordings have won three Grammy nominations.

Larry Koonse is currently a member of Billy Child’s landmark chamber sextet which just recorded a CD featuring Brian Blade. He has  toured and recorded with Mel Torme, Terry Gibbs, Bob Brookmeyer, and Billy Childs among others. Koonse has toured internationally, but notably was invited by Nelson Mandela and UNICEF to South Africa to perform for the first annual SAMIX festival with the Steve Houghton quintet. He also performed with Gary Willis in Sao Paulo, Brazil for a government sponsored concert at SESC Ipiranga.
