Dr. Valchinov is at the forefront of the violin world.  Conductors he has performed with have commented: “His Dvorak Concerto is incredibly beautiful, one of a kind”.  He performs with orchestras in the US and Europe, and serves as a concertmaster of several orchestras in the Boston area.   Bulgarian National TV has made a documentary about him, and he has also been featured on a number of television stations across the US. 
Alexander Tchobanov has won the National Bulgarian Competition “Svetoslav Obretenov” in Bulgaria, and the “Temecula Young Artists Piano Competition” in California. Alexander has also been chosen as semi-finalist at the  Los Angeles Music Center Spotlight Awards. In May of 2005, He made his chamber music debut at the “Weill Carnegie Hall” in New York. Alexander has appeared numerous times on the Bulgarian National Radio and the Bulgarian National Television as well as on public radio stations throughout the US, including,  Public Radio International’s show From the Top, a showcase of America’s finest young musicians.
