Andre Feriante & Friends present a Wonderful Mothersday
Andre Feriante, award-winning, neo-flamenco/classical guitar virtuoso, performs “A Wonderful Mother’s Day” on Mother’s Day at the Seasons Performance Hall. He will salute Northwest mothers, along with several guest musicians. Feriante will also honor special mothers with roses and complimentary CDs, and throughout the concert, each performer will share stories about their own mothers.
Joining Feriante are tenor Steve Thoreson, pianist Overton Berry, guitarist/vocalist Erich Fridrich and bassist Jeff Davies. Even though they play different styles--classical, jazz, flamenco and blues--their magnetic stage rapport shows off a mutual humanity with both humor and heart. All four of these musicians are making their Seasons’ debut.
Feriante has great affection for Eastern Washington. He grew up traveling back and forth between Yakima and Rome, Italy. Now, Feriante’s parents, Carlo and Helen, his youngest son, as well as one of his brothers all live in Yakima. As a child, Feriante attended Garfield Elementary School, where his teacher was Mrs. Nashem. As an adult, Feriante has played many of the popular venues in Yakima.
