"Amelia" the opera

Late last week I woke up, got some coffee, and checked my email per usual. I opened the weekly "Seattle Spin" Newsletter, which highlights the most interesting and prominent events going on in Seattle, of which there are hundreds, maybe even thousands of events most weeks. This newsletter picks out about five captivating events (which run the gamut) to detail.

I was excited to see Daron Hagen's world premiere of "Amelia", the opera, listed among the events Seattle Spin had decided to cover. They were giving their readers a heads up about a month in advance to get their opera tickets.  (As we would also like to do for our audience).

Doug Ramsey Reviews PDXV, Incoming Seasons Artists

We have a varied and dynamic weekend upcoming at The Seasons.  Portland jazz musicians PDXV and Rebecca Kilgore take the stage Friday night, long time blues musicians Alice Stuart and The Formerly's play on Saturday and Sunday brings world famous recording artists, The Celtic Tenors.

Jazz critic, journalist and blogger, Doug Ramsey, has given a wonderful review of PDXV Vol 1 & 2 in his blog, Rifftides.  His description will give you an idea of the inspiring artistry PDXV will bring to the stage Friday evening. Check out his full blog here.
